Michal is ruminating on the idea of beefing up his handsome Fiction Corpus with a coffee table book about art photos; cites fatigue

I can't reject the prospect of enacting English as a global lingua franca. I don't regard highly the pedantic technique by which the English tongue is taught.
Strengthening a person's artfulness with a language isn't like launching a rounder wheel. A language - a common tongue - is not merely a tool that you can learn to manipulate with greater amounts of precision. A living language can not be disassociated from the competing values of a tribe of people of which it is a description. A language isn't recited; it happens - and keeps happening as long as a circle of people keeps using it.
To make students recite English is to deprive them of its cultural context. A good educator must have a blueprint for introducing it; the perceptive student goes out to seek it.
A dictionary has the potential to be an influential tool. The best dictionaries describe words on the basis of a specific corpus, a set of writing of varying size and consistency. They can include everything from a book about literature to the best fiction romance novels ever written. I lost many a sleepless night forging my "trifling" Fiction Corpus to form a peculiar type of dictionary based on the ability of one man to tell a story in myriad forms. It is a labor of love and listening.
I have prepared a million words and I have reduced them, reformulating them - not just to teach an American tongue but to be an advocate for the human soul, and to propel that soul or spirit not just to recite but to happen.
Author's Note: I have been enjoined from sharing the details of my true romance adventure until such time that the other party is prepared to present her perspective on the affair arrangement...
One week after arriving in Europe, I met a woman in the sauna on the ground floor of the large villa she shared with her ex-husband. Four weeks later she was sharing a small rain-soaked tent with me in Vienna, our little gas-fired stove barely capable of boiling a cup of water. It wasn't until we reached Croatia that we decided to invest in a large electric kettle. It was quite the luxury and it made me very happy.
As an artist inspired by a young woman's struggle with self-esteem and bulimia, body acceptance had always featured prominently in my aesthetic. Having recently discovered naturism and its mantra of body acceptance in the United States, I was eager to explore the style and philosophy of naturist clubs and the beauty of naturist campsites in Europe. By a trick of fate, I found myself first in Bielsko-Biała, Poland. Margo's home.
I considered myself young and able, and being American I often convinced myself I was more than able. She didn't feel quite so young. Having grown up in Poland, what was and is still considered by many to be a poor country, she had the added burden of not only being disadvantaged but having it held against her. The difference became palpable when I realized I couldn't even properly translate into Polish the very American word, "opportunity." A chance? Sure. An occasion? Why not? An opportunity? Not in the book.
I've never gone hungry without deserving it. I've never been systemically beaten by a parent. I've never been fondled by a priest. That doesn't mean I can't listen to somebody who has had to experience such abuse and it doesn't mean I can't try to understand. Margo and I traveled 6,000 miles together. We slept in the same tent. We had to listen to each other. A person shouldn't need 6,000 miles to do it. We should be able to listen to each other just because we want to. We should've been taught to do it. If we haven't been taught, we should be learning how to do it and learning fast.
6,000 miles across Europe with a complete stranger
During our trip across Europe, Margo very bravely opened up to me and to the camera. It was a difficult thing to do considering the scars that she carries. I wanted to share with the world her often joyful, often sad, often angry but always liberating experience except that the Internet is full of pictures of naked women and men and full of trolls who abuse them.
I realized that what I really need to point out is not the openness that Margo and I cultivated between ourselves, but the darkness that continues to surround us. When I censor nudity, I do so in a way that does not compromise the integrity of the human body. In censoring the photographs that Margo and I took during our trip, I was quick to notice that in those pictures where Margo was at her most open, at her most unguarded and most relaxed, in a word, when she was herself and basking in the sun I was forced to blacken her completely.
Why does our society drive people into darkness? Why can we not accept ourselves as we are? Why can we not accept our bodies? Have we truly become eunuchs? Or are we capable of defying the sickness that pits us against each other? Together we could conquer the devils that abuse us.
Whether you enjoy being nude or not, whether you've been photographed nude or not, but especially if, for you, like for Margo, it's something you never thought you would do, consider submitting your own photograph to be published in a censored manner as a form of protest against the ubiquitous presence of the human body on the internet, naked or not, that is published and duplicated ad infinitum without context and without regard for the identity or the needs of the individual being depicted.
Michal's Dictionary: Understanding the word Order
A word can represent many things. First and foremost it represents a type of gesture. A specific way of speaking. A specific way of inscribing a mark. A specific way of moving your hand. To know one of these kinds of gestures is to know how to pronounce the word order in some kind of way.
If you want to communicate an idea using the word order, you will need to know what other people are made to think when you make the gesture. You will never have complete awareness of or control over the associations or identities that are invoked by a set of words, but you can know what was and what is a single word's jointly accepted definition, at least for a given place, thereby tracing a direction which will help you to understand what kinds of associations and identities are driving its use.
By using the word yourself, you enter into a long-standing albeit oftentimes unconscious debate over its definition, forever entangling yourself into the history of its use. The way you use it, and which other words you use it with carries weight.
The more you know about where the word order is located in the fabric of a language, the better you will be at exploiting its cultural power.

A story bible for a comic book series set in a post climate-change California narrated by eight characters who live through a natural disaster that sinks Los Angeles and triggers a war with an expansionist Mexican government covertly supported by China.
Frame #3127

An experimental science fiction Christology that makes Jesus the hard boiled narrator of his own early years on a bizarro earth made dark by volcanic ash and informally ruled by a man from Mars who sells bottled air.
Now, for a while, you could buy your very own Panzer-Tank filter - that's what made Cheap Alaskan Air so good. But then, the anti-trust verdict said no. You could still buy the very same filter, but under a very different name, since you couldn't sell both filters and bottled air in the same company, not according to most anti-trust guidelines. So, where once was only 'Panzer-Tank Air,' was now 'Panzer-Tank Air' and 'Best Filters,' which also produced face masks. This move was good for companies, because now, instead of buying large Panzer-Tank filters at high prices with all the Panzer-Tank Air that came with it (which was sort of useless if you were buying your own filter), they could buy a Best Filter instead, which came with nothing at all at half the price. But where the company gained, the individual consumer suffered, because now, instead of being able to buy a bottle of Cheap Alaskan Air with a face mask, he or she was forced to buy a bottle of Cheap Alaskan Air, and then buy a Best Face Mask, which was the only face mask compatible with the smallest, most portable bottles of Cheap Alaskan Air, but which cost twice as much as anything else. Therefore, in order to wear the chic bottles - not to mention the designer and custom-made bottles - one had to pay nearly three times as much as before, and, if you didn't care for chic, you still had to buy a separate mask for every bottle, since (under safety guidelines developed on Mars) every mask had to be permanently attached (upon purchase) to a bottle, even if that bottle were not refillable - and most designer bottles were not. Therefore, after the split, even the most economical consumers of bottled air were paying, on the whole, twice as much as before.
So they did. One store was finally rented out, by order of the local court. The small store, which Jesus had manned, was not. Jesus wished he could open it. He still had the goddamn keys - but what could he do? Nothing: Jesus was fucked. He had no documents; no money for documents; no source of income. All he had was one American passport that was soon to be expired. Without documents, there was no way of getting legitimate work. So he started giving lessons in English for five dollars an hour.
The vow of obedience was the trickiest. Members of the order would necessarily have to vow obedience to the Grand Master and the Grand Master to the Rule, but the Rule could be changed, if only by the approval of the majority of chaplains. At first, the Pope wanted to place the order directly under his authority, but, perhaps realizing, or being told, that this might give Jesus too much freedom on Mars, he decided to place him under the authority of the Patriarch of Centropolis. But Jesus said, "We don't even know if the Patriarchate still exists."
A literature book narrated by a pair of siblings on either side of the Atlantic whose profoundly weird sexual experiences pose a serious challenge to their traditional understanding of mathematicians, marriage, gay young men and God.
Suddenly realizing how silly I was, I had to laugh, and, getting up from my chair, I asked psychology class girl if she wouldn't like a cigarette. She said certainly, and, picking up the tape recorder, I asked if she were done with it. She said, "Yes, let's have a listen." So we went outside and I tried to rewind the tape as far back as necessary.
How challenging it was at that very moment, when, in my troublesome state, my eye carelessly fell upon its rectangular form: how promising did that running tape recorder seem! how reckless my judgment! how beautiful its mechanical uprightness! I actually entertained thoughts of diversions, of stealing away that tape and running down Prospect Street, hiding in dark alleys, listening in frustration, running all the way to the bridge and throwing its unhelpful carcass in the river. I thought of feigning sickness, and climbing down from the second story - to what purpose I do not know, but I did think of it.
In fact, it kept getting worse and worse: as my loins became more and more inflamed, the frequency of the image kept increasing. I started shaking my head, trying to rid myself of these images, but to no avail. It seemed like every other thought was the picture of Nike ramming his penis down Luka's ass. I couldn't help it! My only other thoughts were of how to free myself from this mental obscenity - until even those thoughts were pushed out, and the images, reaching the critical flicker frequency, were popping in and out of my head so quickly that they fused: into one, continuously terrifying motion-picture image, taken from the vaults of the darkest and most perverted obsessive-compulsive disorder I have ever had to suffer.
Do not reject the guidance of the Church in order to excuse yourself - just remember that. We are not here to pick and choose; we are here to accept things in their entirety. I'm sure that once you know the particulars of the situation, you will not allow yourself indulgences. But even if you feel yourself compelled, beyond your strongest will, have faith in the Church, believe in the indissolubility of marriage, and remember: the biggest threat comes not from adultery, but from the posturing and conviction, the hollow trees and cages that mark the road to apostasy.
A collection of stories featuring a sexy Parisian ghost, a spooky Moon base full of vagina-faced aliens, a policeman with an Irish name, a truck full of watermelons, a flautist, and a man who has to see another man about a diseased horse.
Shephard poured the glasses. He nodded. "We'll find you a girl."
A real play. With drama in it. Talk fast. It takes two hours. Set in a guest house. In a small community. After a murder. Lots of suspicion. The characters learn to listen to each other. It's funny.
FLETCHER: Oh, marriage! Where would man be without thy warm bondage? Those who fear the rope will never know the pleasure of being tied up: of pushing with all one's might only to stand still. It is a perverse joy, indeed, to take the plunge through the trapdoor: to hear one's soul snapping in two, pushing one's heart into one's throat: to say the words, 'I do.' To wed and then to bed - how old-fashioned an order! One cannot help but desire permanence in such an ever-changing world. To oppose it, lashed to a rock, feeling its weight crush one's spirit, may be a Promethean punishment best reserved for the noble. It is no wonder that only the force of custom and law kept so many together for so long. Matrimony is not for the faint of heart. So watch out, you concubines and concubinaries - you cohabitants and live-in friends: both cataracts and calm pools await you, but no peace at that river's end: just the wide, gaping maw of dissoluteness and abandon: the ocean of human desire, with nothing to do but sink. So swim home, like salmon, and enjoy rest: the comfort you get from being tied up. My prayers were answered: I am a man again - and soon to be more: a husband. Wish me luck, for the night is still young, and many acts of husbandry await me.
A story book full of short fiction stories. An interesting bedtime mystery. A fairy tale. Science fiction romance. Adult life. Uninspiring gay fiction. Horror.
Proctor found the key. He decided a man carrying a carpet was probable cause. He entered the apartment. It didn't take long to find a photo. It was vic number three. Proctor called in the cavalry. He ordered a search. His phone rang. It was the captain. "Vic number two's fingerprints were in the database," He said. "He got busted for cocaine three years prior. I talked to his bondsman. Says an artist by the name of John Gamble put up security for him." At the sound of the name Proctor audibly swallowed. He wondered if the captain had heard.
One day Orbitz finally emerged from his hotel room. He was carrying what looked like a book. He went into the shop. "It's you again," said the shopkeeper. "What do you want?" Orbitz said nothing. He dropped the book on the counter and left. One half of the surveillance team followed him all the way to the space port. The other half decided to find out what was going on. They raided the shop. They found nothing. The book Orbitz had been carrying was an antique. It was stamped with the name of the hotel. When one of the agents went to the hotel to ask about it the clerk behind the desk wanted it back. He said every room was supposed to have one. It was tradition. He had no idea why. He said the owner would get mad if one of them disappeared. The owner was questioned about the book. He said the same thing. It was tradition. Every room had a book. Every book was the same. He didn't know why. He didn't care to know. The Amazon cared. According to his sources there was a chance the book had a connection to the Wiki-en Society. He ordered the hotel closed. He arrested the owner and the entire staff. They proved themselves innocent quickly. The Astrazeneca found no deception in them. The shopkeeper was different. He was held long after the others had been released. He wasn't lying about Orbitz. He had never seen the man before in his life. He was lying about the way he did business. He claimed he was an honest businessman. It was a lie. He claimed he knew a good bargain when he saw one. Another lie. The Amazon wondered what was happening. Orbitz had gone from the space port to a low orbit cruise ship. Aboard the same ship was Sara Lee. The scientist who had confounded the Astrazeneca in the first place. He assigned a surveillance team to watch her. She walked around and gazed at the blue planet. She didn't see Orbitz at all.
"We are all jealous of you," she said. For whom did she speak? "There is a new order in the world. You have power and opportunity. Our destinies were decided by systems, technology, social movements. They manipulated us. You've been living with them from the very first day. You have more of a chance to decide what to accept and what to reject. We never had that luxury."
The Amazon called his team. One half was still following Orbitz on the cruise ship. The other half was in front of the shop. He ordered them into the neon building. They walked up to the second floor. The team leader paused. He could hear something in the room ahead. It sounded like a man rapping his fingers on a desk. He pushed open the door. There was no desk. There was no man. There was clutter everywhere. Strange objects of art and furniture stacked on top of each other loomed from every corner. The rapping continued. It was slower now. It was more cautious. The men squeezed into the room. All of them were transfixed by the sound. It was coming from behind a low curtain. The curtain was draped over what seemed like a crate. Or a cage. The men crowded in front of it. The leader reached out his hand. He grabbed a corner of the curtain. He lifted it.

I have yet to perform a collocation analysis of "order." I hope I can get it done sometime soon. -Michal
To promote democracy, the strong must empty themselves of their strength. The weak must be granted the opportunity to grow strong. We cannot force the end of patriarchy. To do so simply perpetuates feudalism under a different name.
